DOUGLAS TEMPEST

Douglas Tempest was a well known Picture Postcard artist who illustrated topical cards for Bamforth which are now collectors items. He was only 16 when he draw the above postcards. On the 1901 census aged 13 he was described as an apprentice litho print artist . "We have originals of almost all Douglas Tempest's postcards and a few he drew for Grannie when he was overseas and still have contact with Tempests in Yorkshire still running a mill.
